This is a new style finished in December
2011.
It was designed by the customer. I’ve built a mission style Murphy bed
for them in the past in black (see
picture).
She came with me with the design and the layout worked nice with a
folding table.
Most tables added to Murphy beds look like they were just
added to the front without any thought. I love it when customers allow
me to build one that is more inset and integrated into the overall
piece.
The desk legs are the top/center double doors and the three
drawer fronts come down with the desk. It is similar to how I build my Smithsonian
Murphy bed.
Here is the matching corner desk.

Not only was this piece challenging because of the desk, it will be a
built in with 107 5/8” ceilings. I added a row of cabinets on the top to
complete the height and sized the bookcases for the correct width. The
bookcases also have a scribe molding to make
installation easier.
This is similar to my Mission
Style murphy bed.
The crown and base were cut big to be trimmed by the customer during
installation. There will also be some molding that will close out the
small gap left between the scribe face of the bookcase and the wall.
Price as shown in queen:
$4830 ($4780 Full)
