Step 1 | Verticals.
Congratualtions. We have already done all the work on these for you. We have:
Cut and ripped the panel
Drilled the 5/8" hole 1/2" deep for the lower pivot plate.
Drilled the two 1/4" holes for the T-Nuts on the lower pivot plate.
Drilled the 5/8" hole for the upper plate
Drilled the 1/4" hole for the T-Nut on the upper plate.
Dilled the 5/16" hole 1/2" deep for the bed stop. We have also put a dent in the wood so you'll exactly where to put the screw.
We also put two motices along the back side, where the headboard will attach. This makes it easier during the final assembly (No measurment will be needed)
We broke the edges and finish sanded it to 120 grit.
Size of this piece will be:
Queen 15 7/8" x 87 1/8"
Full 15 7/8" x 82 1/8"
Twin 15 7/8" x 82 1/8"
Wait befor putting the plates and bed stops on. You'll want to apply the finish first.
Tip: Take some scrap wood and screw it to the back of each of the verticals while you finish it. This will allow you to finish both sides at the same time.
