Mirror Murphy Bed
This is a Murphy bed or sometimes call Wall bed, that we just finished in May 2017. It was designed for a dance studio, as was the first Mirror murphy bed that we built. See Mirror Face Murphy bed.
What I did is to put a Mirror in the center of the face of the murphy bed. we framed it out with Picture frame Molding that we built. The molding was about 4" wide. Added some crown molding at the top to dress it up a little.
It is Finished in white Lacquer. The customer requested an upper bookcase. I did not have the room in my showroom to put it up there in the video. I did include some pictures at the end of the video showing the upper bookcase.
The operation of it is very easy, just pull on the trim (I didn’t want to put normal pulls. It is very easy to pull out. It does get a little heavier at about a 45 degree angle because of the added weight of the mirror. It’s about 45 lbs at 45 degrees.
